Naam Tamilar Katchi’s Dharapuram bypoll candidate Karthika arrested
Naam Tamilar Katchi’s Dharapuram by‑poll candidate, Karthika, was taken into custody on Oct. 4 along with about 20 supporters after they blocked a road to protest the denial of permission to hold a campaign on the route of Chief Minister Vijay’s roadshow. Party leader Seeman condemned the Tamil Nadu government’s actions. Authorities said the blockade broke traffic rules, while the party called it a peaceful protest.
