OpenBSD 8.0 release will have inteldrm/radeondrm/amdgpu drivers from Linux 6.18
The upcoming OpenBSD 8.0 will incorporate graphics drivers originally from Linux kernel 6.18, adding support for Intel, Radeon, and AMDGPU hardware. By porting inteldrm, radeondrm and amdgpu modules, the BSD project aims to improve compatibility with modern GPUs while maintaining its security focus. It follows OpenBSD 7.5, which lacked DRM support, and reflects collaboration with the Linux community.
