Mamata’s party asks if BJP government put spectacle over safety in awarding Chorbagan puja
West Bengal's ruling Trinamool Congress has criticised the BJP-led central government for allegedly prioritising spectacle over safety in granting awards to the Chorbagan Durga puja. The party highlighted that the festival, which recently received accolades for lighting, pandal design and eco‑friendly practices, may have compromised public safety. It called for a review of the criteria used for such recognitions.
