Hubballi Chalo padayatra by sugarcane farmers likely to end today
Sugarcane growers in Hubballi have been marching in a padayatra to demand better prices and better infrastructure and improved irrigation. The protest is expected to conclude today, after which participants plan to return to the streets following a rally in New Delhi on October 23. The movement highlights farmers’ frustration with low crop prices and lack of government assistance.
