CJP alleges delay in release of leaders, four sureties rejected
The Justice of India has accused authorities of delaying the release of protest leaders, noting that four sureties offered for their bail were rejected. Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka were taken into judicial custody for five days on Oct. 14 after breaching the locked gates of Jantar Mantar, a site removed from the list of designated protest locations. The complaint highlights concerns over the case handling.
