Government begins process to appoint permanent V-Cs: Higher Education Minister
The government has begun the process of appointing permanent vice‑chancellors (V‑Cs) for universities. The Higher Education Minister said many institutions still lack a permanent head and that the state seeks a lasting solution. He condemned attempts to politicise or communalise university governance and stressed that appointments will be merit‑based and monitored for transparency in the coming months.
