Telangana seeks drought relief measures from Centre
Telangana’s government has requested drought relief from the central government. State minister said the ‘Khet Bachao Abhiyan’ will run Oct 22‑30, involving national agricultural institutions and universities to aid farmers. The move follows reports of severe water shortages in key districts, and the state plans subsidies for irrigation equipment and seed distribution and support crop diversification.
