A.P. NGO welcomes UN’s declaration of November 27 as Global Day Against Child Marriage
An organization based in Andhra Pradesh has expressed approval of the United Nations' decision to designate November 27 as the Global Day Against Child Marriage. The NGO said the observance will help highlight the persistence of early marriage in India and worldwide, and urged authorities and communities to intensify efforts to prevent the practice and protect vulnerable children.
