Local bodies not obliged to fund KSRTC depots: Transport Minister
Kerala Transport Minister C.P. John responded to opposition leader Pinarayi Vijayan’s concerns, stating that local bodies are not mandated to finance Kerala State Road Transport Corporation depots. He added that only corporations and municipalities with solid revenue streams, not gram panchayats, may choose to contribute voluntarily further if they consider it necessary for depot improvements.
