Keep ST classification free of ‘political manipulation’, raise quota, demands Left-affiliated tribal body
At a national convention in New Delhi, the Adivasi Adhikar Rashtriya Manch, a tribal organization linked to the Left, adopted a resolution demanding that Scheduled Tribe classification remain free from political interference. The charter calls for increased reservation quotas and greater access to natural resources, education, jobs, cultural preservation, social inclusion, for nationwide tribal communities.
