Political parties, organisations intensify protest against toll collection at Nattika on NH66
Political parties and various groups escalated demonstrations against a toll booth on the Nattika stretch of National Highway 66. Police responded with baton charges on workers from the LDF and UDF, and deployed water cannons when demonstrators attempted to break through barricades. The clash halted traffic on the highway for several hours. Authorities said the protest was sparked by the recent imposition of the toll.
