Potable water alternatives: Treated water from STPs in Hyderabad’s gated communities to be used for construction works, landscaping
Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) will provide reclaimed water from sewage treatment plants to gated communities for use in construction, landscaping, and industrial activities. The initiative aims to reduce reliance on drinking‑water supplies by diverting treated effluent to non‑potable applications such as building sites, garden irrigation and other works across the city.
