Manipur needed this much security: Mamata-TMC over police deployment in Delhi for anti-SIR stir
Mamata Banerjee and TMC officials criticised the extensive police presence in Delhi for anti‑SIR demonstrations, saying the security level mirrors that needed in Manipur. Their remarks came after Defence Minister Rajnath Singh alleged that opposition parties were trying to engineer a regime change similar to Bangladesh and were inciting youth‑led anarchy. TMC spokesperson Kunal Ghosh rejected the accusations.
