1.85 lakh voters deleted from Manipur, Sikkim electoral rolls after SIR
About 185,000 voters were taken off the electoral lists in Manipur and Sikkim following the recent revision of the rolls. In Manipur, 6.3% of registered voters were deleted, with a higher proportion of women and concerns from the Kuki‑Zo community about displacement‑related removals. Sikkim saw 11.2% of its voters removed recently, according to The Hindu.
