
Modi government prepared roadmap to make India drug-free by 2029, says Amit Shah
India's government, led by Home Minister Amit Shah, announced a plan to achieve a drug‑free nation by 2029. The strategy includes dismantling a hundred domestic and foreign drug syndicates and recapturing a hundred fugitives by March 2029. Officials say the roadmap will combine enforcement, rehabilitation and awareness measures to curb narcotics trafficking across the country.
