Census 2027: Govt. opens enumerator roles to private teachers, institutions, trust and society members
The government has broadened the pool of census enumerators for the 2027 census, allowing private school teachers, educational institutions, trusts, and societies to participate. Previously, enumeration was largely carried out by government school teachers and state officials. The expansion aims to increase coverage and efficiency by tapping a wider range of qualified personnel across regions.
