As pet population rises in Keralam, KVASU steps up dog handler training
Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (KVASU) has launched a six‑week training course for dog handlers to meet the growing pet population in the state. The curriculum covers canine behaviour, obedience, safe handling and animal‑welfare regulations. By equipping trainers, the university hopes to reduce behavioural‑related abandonment and address the shortage of qualified professionals in 2024.
