The unseen hands behind Mysuru Dasara’s dazzling lights
During Mysuru’s Dasara celebrations, more than six hundred employees of the city’s electricity board work behind the scenes to install, test and maintain the extensive lighting displays. They coordinate power supply, troubleshoot faults and ensure safety throughout the festival, keeping streets, venues and iconic structures illuminated for visitors. Their effort remains largely unnoticed despite being essential to the event’s visual success.
