U.K. Sanctions Cryptomus for RU Money Laundering
Britain has placed sanctions on the cryptocurrency platform Cryptomus, alleging it facilitated the laundering of Russian funds. The Treasury’s Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation added the firm to its list, restricting its access to the UK financial system. Authorities say the company processed transactions that helped evade sanctions and conceal the origin of illicit money.
