Naidu, Chouhan highlight role of SHGs in promoting women empowerment
Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan reported that 35 million women out of a six‑million‑target have reached an annual income of one lakh rupees, with Andhra Pradesh contributing 2.3 million. He and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu emphasized the contribution of self‑help groups to women’s empowerment. Naidu also announced permanent venues for the SARAS Mela in the city.
