Telecom operators to show KYC name of incoming callers from November 1
India’s telecom regulators have mandated that all network providers display the verified KYC name of callers to recipients starting November 1. The Caller Name Presentation rule, long under development, was tested throughout 2025 on the operators’ own networks. The move aims to improve call transparency and reduce fraudulent or spoofed calls across the country for consumers as part of broader reforms.
