Southwest monsoon withdraws from entire country: IMD
India’s India Meteorological Department reports that the southwest monsoon has fully withdrawn nationwide. The season concluded with a total rainfall of 759.4 millimetres, which is 12.6 percent less than the long‑term average of 868.6 millimetres. The IMD’s data indicates that the monsoon retreated from all regions, ending the rainy period earlier than typical.
