Tirumala’s water reserves may last just 90 days amid deficient rainfall
Tirumala town, which supplies water to the famous temple complex, is facing a severe shortage as three of its five reservoirs have emptied. Daily consumption is around six million gallons. With the monsoon season delayed and rainfall below normal, officials say the remaining water may only sustain the town for about three months, hoping the upcoming northeast monsoon will replenish supplies.
