Zimbabwean author Simbarashe Kundizeza has denied claims that his award‑winning short story “The Blue Fighter” was produced by artificial intelligence. The piece, which recently earned the Caine Prize, was called into question by The Atlantic, which suggested it was AI‑generated. Kundizeza insists the story was written by hand and not by a machine in 2024.
