Pune to suspend water supply every Thursday from October 15
Starting October 15, the Pune Municipal Corporation will halt water distribution each Thursday. Officials say the Khadakwasla reservoir, which supplies the city, has reached a storage level lower than the usual annual average as of October 12. The weekly shutdown aims to conserve water amid the shortfall. The city has been experiencing a dry spell, and authorities warned that continued low inflows could exacerbate shortages.
