West Bengal has to become self-reliant from being dependent on doles says CM Suvendu Adhikari
West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari announced the state will pursue self‑reliance, reducing dependence on central subsidies. He inaugurated the foundation of a ₹6,000 crore phenol and acetone manufacturing complex in Haldia, intended to expand industrial capacity, cut import reliance and generate employment. The plant aims to produce thousands of tonnes annually, supporting the state's investment drive.
