DGCA bans specific power banks on flights
India's Directorate General of Civil Aviation has prohibited the transport of certain power banks on commercial flights. The regulator also instructed airlines to implement procedures for detecting and stopping passengers from carrying the specified devices. The move aims to enhance aviation safety by reducing fire risks associated with high-capacity lithium‑ion batteries. Airlines are expected to train staff and update screening equipment accordingly.
