2 CJP leaders in judicial custody: Dipke slams government, claims it is imposing ‘unofficial emergency’
Two Committee for Judicial Protection leaders, Ashutosh Ranka and Saurav Das, were placed in judicial custody on Oct 13 after police said they breached barricades at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar and demanded the resignation of Election Commission chief Gyanesh Kumar. Authorities said the protest violated the law and a case has been registered. CJP chief Dipke condemned the arrests, accusing the government of imposing an ‘unofficial emergency.’
