Keralam Senior Citizens Bill referred to Assembly Subject Committee
The Kerala government has sent the Senior Citizens Bill to the Assembly’s Subject Committee for review. The legislation seeks to encourage active ageing, set standards for elder‑care facilities, enhance training for families and caregivers, and safeguard the rights, dignity and social security of older adults. It aims to strengthen support systems for the state’s ageing population.
