QGIS bans AI assisted contributions
QGIS, the open-source geographic information system, announced a policy that disallows any contributions created with artificial-intelligence tools. The decision follows concerns that AI-generated code may introduce errors, licensing conflicts, or security risks. Maintainers will reject patches, plugins, or documentation that rely on AI assistance, urging developers to submit only manually produced work and to ensure code quality.
