Tim Cook handed $47m package for new role as executive chair of Apple
Apple chief executive Tim Cook will move to the newly created role of executive chair, receiving a compensation package worth about $47 million, including salary, bonuses and stock awards. The package is slightly lower than the $58 million awarded to John Ternus, who will replace Cook as CEO of the $4.7 trillion company. It also contains performance‑based equity that vests over time.
