Organisations protest against arrest of anti-SIR activists
Several organisations gathered in Dharwad to demonstrate against the recent detention of activists opposing the government's Social Impact Regulation (SIR). The demonstrators criticised what they described as restrictive measures by the Union government and police targeting anti‑SIR protesters in New Delhi, calling the actions repressive and demanding the release of those arrested. The rally remained peaceful and called for a review of the regulation.
