BJP MP Dinesh Sharma appointed Lt Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has named BJP legislator Dinesh Sharma as the new lieutenant governor of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Sharma will replace retired Admiral D K Joshi, who has been in the post since October 8, 2017. The appointment was announced by the central government and is expected to take effect in the coming weeks.
