BJP-led folk artistes embark on beating ‘Dappu’ for 75 hours, with an eye on Guinness
About 2,000 folk performers, organized by the BJP, began a 75‑hour drum‑beating marathon in Tirupati on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday. The event, called the ‘Dappu’ challenge, seeks entry into the Guinness World Records and is part of the party’s Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, a service campaign. Drummers use the traditional Dappu instrument and will play without breaks.
