Restores people’s faith in justice system: Sibal after SC’s directions to government on protests
India’s Supreme Court ordered the government to avoid unlawful detention of peaceful protesters, to keep Delhi Metro operating on its regular timetable, and to maintain uninterrupted internet services, and uphold democratic rights. Justice Minister Kiren Rijiju welcomed the directives, while former law minister Kapil Sibal said the rulings help restore public confidence in the justice system.
