
Over 2,500 detained as anti-CEC protesters seek to march to Jantar Mantar
More than 2,500 people were detained after a large anti-Communist Party of India (CPI) protest attempted to march toward the Jantar Mantar public square in New Delhi. Authorities deployed extensive security measures and imposed travel restrictions, but the crowd still gathered. Police said all those arrested were released by the evening. No injuries were reported during the operation.
