CITU seeks resignation of CEC over alleged 13-crore vote deletions
CITU has demanded the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar after alleging that he deleted 13 crore votes during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. The trade union staged a protest in which an effigy of the CEC was burned, and it accused the election authorities of obstructing demonstrators who were trying to reach Delhi to voice their concerns.
