Maharashtra to soon introduce digital system for milk tracking to curb adulteration: FDA chief
Maharashtra plans to roll out a digital platform that will monitor milk from collection points to reduce adulteration, the state's food safety chief said. Inspectorate teams have started checking collection centres for contaminants, unsafe milk and adherence to regulations, aiming to improve safety and traceability across the dairy supply. Tukaram Mundhe noted the Food and Drug Administration is conducting inspections statewide to enforce prescribed practices.
