Modi govt has turned ‘mother of democracy’ into ‘muzzled democracy’, says Kharge
Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s administration of undermining India’s democratic foundations, describing it as a ‘muzzled democracy.’ He cited recent detentions, arrests, jail sentences, and the use of lathis and pellet guns against protesters, asserting that such tactics will not deter the Indian populace from exercising their rights, warning that democracy cannot be silenced.
