Taxing Entrepreneurial Wealth: Evidence from Norway, 2021–2025

Researchers examined Norway's tax measures targeting entrepreneurial wealth between 2021 and 2025. The analysis shows that higher tax rates reduced the net accumulation of startup founders' assets, while modestly increasing public revenue. However, the policy also correlated with a slight decline in new venture formation and venture capital inflows, suggesting trade‑offs between equity financing and fiscal objectives.
