Centre seeks States’ help as CJP prepares to go ahead with protest; major curbs in Delhi
India's central government has asked state administrations to assist in managing security as the Chief Justice of India plans a protest on October 10 demanding the election commission chief's resignation. Delhi authorities have refused permission for a rally at Jantar Mantar, imposed internet restrictions, closed markets and metro stations, and cancelled numerous trains heading to the capital.
