Ruling parties sweep bypolls as BJP bags Bengal seats, TVK wins in Tamil Nadu
Ruling parties won all recent contested state by‑elections. The BJP secured three West Bengal seats—Nandigram, Rejinagar and Nagaon—each with a large margin, underscoring support for the central government. In Tamil Nadu, TVK captured Dharapuram and Madurantakam, reinforcing its foothold. The BJP's sweep in Bengal and TVK's wins illustrate the ruling coalition's continued dominance in these regions.
