A.P. resumes Operation Stripes as Explorer nears human habitations in Rajamahendravaram

Authorities in Andhra Pradesh have restarted Operation Stripes after a transient tiger, dubbed Explorer, moved close to villages near Rajamahendravaram. Pune‑based wildlife rescue group RESQ Trust will lead a team to safely tranquilise the animal. The tiger was previously sedated on Feb 6 in East Godavari and later released into Papikonda National Park. The effort seeks to avoid conflict and safeguard the tiger.
