Parking fees in Jayanagar applicable only to major commercial roads: South Corporation Commissioner
The South Corporation Commissioner clarified that new parking charges in Bangalore’s Jayanagar area will be imposed solely on the principal commercial streets, excluding residential lanes. The policy aims to manage parking demand on busy thoroughfares while leaving quieter neighbourhood roads fee‑free. Officials said the distinction will be applied from the upcoming enforcement date in the city.
