Eight BJP and two SP candidates from UP elected unopposed to Rajya Sabha
Eight candidates from the Bharatiya Janata Party and two from the Samajwadi Party were elected without opposition to Uttar Pradesh’s seats in the Rajya Sabha. Their selection follows the expiry of ten incumbent members’ terms on November 25, prompting the scheduled biennial recent election for the Upper House. All nominees were officially declared winners after filing nominations.
