GVMC seals 58 shops in Visakhapatnam in a day for dumping waste on roads, imposes ₹4.36 lakh in penalties
Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation sealed 58 shops in a single day for illegally discarding waste on streets and in drains, levying penalties that totalled about ₹4.36 lakh. Commissioner Ketan Garg directed shop owners to keep rubbish in dustbins and hand it to CLAP collection vehicles each day, aiming to curb roadside dumping and improve sanitation in the city.
