
MEA says U.S. green card suspension measures do not advance shared India-U.S. ambitions
India’s Ministry of External Affairs said the United States’ decision to pause green‑card issuance for certain Indian applicants does not further the two countries’ joint objectives. The ministry cited remarks by U.S. Vice‑President JD Vance, who called the characterisations of the policy “unwarranted,” and in the broader strategic relationship, reiterated that the move falls short of shared ambitions.
