US Green Card curbs could accelerate India’s shift to high-value tech work: Karnataka’s IT Minister
India’s Karnataka IT minister Priyank Kharge said that recent tightening of U.S. green‑card rules could speed the country’s move toward higher‑value technology work. He expects greater expansion of global capability centers, more international research and development projects in Indian cities, and rising domestic demand for senior tech talent as a result, to support innovation and competitiveness.
