GBA penalises consultant, contractor for ‘unscientific’ electricity pole installation
India's Gujarat Building Authority imposed financial penalties on two firms after finding that an electricity pole was installed without adhering to technical standards. The project consultant, Siddhishakti Private Limited, received a fine of one lakh rupees, while the main contractor, JMC Constructions, was fined two lakh rupees for substandard construction practices and failure to follow prescribed specifications, the agency said.
