Nicolás Maduro and his wife indicted for alleged torture of US citizens
Venezuelan former president Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, were indicted in a New York federal court for allegedly torturing U.S. citizens. The charges stem from a 2019 incident in which the couple allegedly abused two American nationals while they were in custody. Both have been held in jail in New York since early January.
